Tangent Lines

Tangent Line allows you to draw a tangent line at any point along any of the displayed equations.
There are two ways to draw a tangent line:

  1. While tracing hit the letter 'T' (not case sensitive). A tangent line will be drawn at that point.

  2. Select "Tangent Line" from the graph menu. You will be asked for an equation and x value at which to draw the tangent line.

You may draw up to one tangent line per equation on the graph at any one time. To turn off a tangent line you can do one of the following:

  1. While tracing the equation that has a tangent line drawn, hit 'T' and the tangent line will disappear.

  2. Select "Clear Tangent Lines" from the graph menu and all tangent lines will be removed.
